That’s a big figure isn’t it? It’s the annual value of e-commerce in Ireland and it’s rising.

The shift to e-commerce is happening at pace as customers of all types move their preference to online transactions. Traditional businesses are having to re-invent themselves quickly and transform their sales approach to obtain a share of this growing market. But many are being held back by a lack of digital and ecommerce skills, are confused by the various options available and fearful of investing in solutions that seem attractive but may not pay back over time.

FAQ’s

What type of people can IndieCommerce provide for my business?

Our IndieCommerce experts have a tried and tested track record of hands-on experience from working with enterprises of all types within the e-commerce space. In every case they have helped companies embarking on their e-commerce journey for the first time and have seen and helped them to manage the obstacles that can appear along the way.

How can I be sure that I’ll get the right talent working on my project?

Each member of the IndieCommerce team has been pre-screened for their skills and experience on previous projects and come with verified client references. The beauty of the Indie Commerce offering is that we have strength in breadth and depth across our talent base. Once we have agreed the basics objectives of what you want to achieve, we will then match your project with talent that have extensive experience relevant to the task in hand. You will get to meet them before the work begins and when you’re happy to engage, then and only then, does the project begin.

How can I be sure that my project and related information will be treated in confidence?

Once a client has agreed and signed off on the project brief which outlines the scope of work, all appointed members of the IndieCommerce team will sign a non-disclosure agreement which will protect any business-sensitive information or data that is shared with them.

How will I be charged for the work?

The scope of work and a detailed budget for the complete project will be prepared in advance and signed off by you as the client. This will itemise the costs of each of the specialists engaged for the work and the IndieCommerce fees. This will be invoiced in equal amounts: one-third at the beginning of the project, one-third at the mid-point and the balance of one-third at completion, once pre-agreed milestones have been achieved.

Are there any hidden or extra charges that I need to be aware of?

No. The budget for the project will set out the costs charged by the IndieCommerce team based on the agreed scope of work. If as the project progresses, additional inputs are needed (for example, photography, copywriting, etc.) which were not part of the original scope of work, then we will naturally have to re-quote and charge separately for these. VAT is also charged on all services incurred in the Republic of Ireland.

What are the payment terms?

Our credit terms are strictly 30 days.

Will I own all of the original work, creative and otherwise, that is produced for the project?

All intellectual property rights remain with IndieCommerce until payment has been received in full, after which the rights transfer to you as the commissioning client. Exceptions here might be where development software/licencing is already in place and such things as image and font rights etc, exist with third parties.

Given the restrictions around Covid-19, how will work on my project be undertaken?

All of the IndieCommerce experts work remotely and are well used to managing projects and keeping in touch using available video technology. However, in our experience, the nature of the some work will require meetings in person. In these situations, all efforts will be made to observe official guidelines and to socially distance.

Can I talk to someone in person about my e-commerce requirements rather than filling out the briefing form?

Of course. We know not everything can be captured on our briefing form. If you’d like to arrange a call to discuss your ecommerce challenge or any aspect of the IndieCommerce service just email Peter (peter@indielist.ie) or Una (una@indielist.ie) and we'll arrange a suitable time to call you.
